Springville's football program has accomplished a number of fabulous things this fall, from winning its region to compiling an 11-1 record to advancing all the way to today's 4A state championship game.

In some ways, this year's 3A championship game resembles an inevitable sequel in a summer movie franchise. Same teams. Same setting. A cast of familiar faces. To top it off, there is even a script which feels like a repeat.

For the fourth straight year, the Timpview Thunderbirds are 4A state football champions.
It took over 10 years, but the Utah Jazz finally won in San Antonio. Carlos Boozer came on strong in the final two minutes with a couple of critical buckets to lift the Jazz to a 90-83 win at the AT&T Center — Utah's first-ever victory in the Spurs' arena.
Running back Harvey Unga, who is 21 yards away from breaking the BYU all-time rushing record, practiced Thursday, but whether or not he will play Saturday against Air Force will be a game-time decision.
Rocky Long may be the X factor in Saturday's game between 23rd-ranked Utah and San Diego State at Rice-Eccles Stadium.
