It was all but over. Hurricane quarterback Tim Long had just scored on a nine-yard quarterback dash, propelling the Tigers to a 10-6 lead.
On multiple occasions during the first half and early into the second half of its 4A championship showdown Friday with Springville, Timpview's offense potentially could have knocked out the Red Devils.
Bingham's trait for being a strong second-half team saved it with a 5A title on the line. This time, it was reserve quarterback Stefan Cantwell who provided the customary spark for the Miners after halftime.

A few things established with the Jazz's win here Thursday night over...
The playoffs have been a wild ride for Real Salt Lake, so it's only fitting that Sunday's MLS Cup ended in the most dramatic fashion possible — a shootout.
The Jazz have five games still to go in a six-game homestand that continues with Tuesday night's visit from Oklahoma City, and they're three games into a favorable stretch with 11-of-14 being played at EnergySolutions Arena.
Of all the individual match-ups in this year's BYU-Utah game, few, if any, loom as large as seniors Max Hall and Robert Johnson. The Cougar quarterback and the Ute free safety have pivotal roles in Saturday's rivalry clash.
For the second time in their careers as head coaches, Bronco Mendenhall and Kyle Whittingham will match wits in a rubber match. Each has two wins, including one apiece on the opposing field, in head-to-head battles.
