After a relentless stretch of dreary weather the sun makes a dramatic return to Maine, rising east of Ram Island Ledge Light at the mouth of Portland Harbor, Thursday. Dry weather will be a welcomed relief to a region that has received more than 13 inches of rain since Memorial Day.
