Verizon upgrades enhance network

Verizon Wireless has invested more than $40 million to enhance its wireless network in Utah, resulting in a 70 percent increase in capacity for voice and data calls in the state.

The improvements, which include a new network, enhance voice calls, Internet browsing, streaming video and e-mail.

More than 12 new cell sites have been set up near Olympic venues.
