Medals ceremony moved

Spectators at Tuesday's Paralympic cross country ski events in Soldier Hollow won't get to see the winning athletes awarded their medals, because the ceremonies are being held at the athletes' housing at the University of Utah instead of at the venue.
Salt Lake Organizing Committee spokeswoman Joy Kohnken said the move was made because so many events were scheduled at the venue for Tuesday. There will be a total of 12 medal presentations made for men's and women's cross county free and sit-ski events.
The competitions are set to end at Soldier Hollow at 2 p.m., and the medal presentations will take place in the Paralympic Village at 7 p.m. The public is not permitted inside the housing complex.
