SLOC plans lights lottery
The Children of Light will keep their lights after all at least a few of them will.
After many complaints from the parents of the Children of the Light, some of the kids will be keeping their lanterns.
The only problem, Salt Lake Organizing Committee President Mitt Romney said, is that there are more children than there are lanterns.
So SLOC will have a lottery. That lottery will take place after the 2002 Winter Paralympics since the lanterns will be used in Paralympic ceremonies. Parents will be notified by mail at the end of March if their children have won.
