Oly merchandise sales topping expectations
Sales of licensed 2002 Winter Games merchandise are 30 percent to 40 percent higher than expected, Salt Lake Organizing Committee officials said.
Fueled by the popularity of Roots and Marker clothing worn by U.S. athletes, retail sales exceed $1 million a day. SLOC hopes to net a $9.5 million profit in retail sales.
