Women's hockey: Russia beats China 4-1

PROVO, Utah Katia Pashkevitch, the MIT coach when she's not competing in the Olympics, scored once and added an assist on Sunday to lead Russia to a 4-1 victory over China in a women's hockey "classification" game.
Irina Gashennikova stopped 30 shots for Russia, which will play for fifth place on Tuesday. Guo Hong made 37 saves for China, which can do no better than seventh.
Lei Xu scored to give China a 1-0 lead 1:12 into the game. But Russia scored four consecutive goals, getting scores from Larisa Mishna, Pashkevitch and Tatiana Burina in the third.
Tatiana Tsareva scored with 7:55 left to make it 4-1.
