Slip-sliding into first

Germany's Patric Leitner and Alexander Resch celebrate their gold medal in the doubles luge Friday at Utah Olympic Park. The athletes posted a two-run total of 1 minute 26.082 seconds, which was .134 second faster than Americans Mark Grimmette and Brian Martin, who won silver in the early morning competition. Lugers Clay Ives and Chris Thorpe, also Americans, slid to a third-place win for the bronze medal.
