Saturday's events
     

  • Alpine skiing, Snowbasin, 10 a.m., men's super G.
         

  • Bobsled, Utah Olympic Park, 3 p.m., two-man heat.
         

  • Biathlon, Solider Hollow, 9 a.m., men's 12.5 km pursuit; noon, women's 10 km pursuit.
         

  • Curling, The Ice Sheet at Ogden, 9 a.m., women's session, sheet A, Canada vs. Japan; sheet B, Russia vs. USA; sheet C, Great Britain vs. Denmark, sheet D, Germany vs. Sweden; 2 p.m., men's session, sheet A, Switzerland vs. Great Britain, sheet B, Finland vs. Sweden, sheet C, USA vs. Denmark, sheet D, Norway vs. Germany; 7 p.m., women's session, sheet A, USA vs. Germany, sheet B, Canada vs. Denmark, sheet C, Switzerland vs. Sweden, sheet D, Japan vs. Norway.
         

  • Freestyle skiing, 10 a.m., Deer Valley Resort, women's aerials qualification; 1:30 a.m. men's aerials qualification.
         

  • Women's ice hockey, E Center, 11 a.m., USA vs. Finland; The Peaks Ice Arena, 2 p.m., Germany vs. China; 7 p.m., Canada vs. Sweden.
         

  • Men's ice hockey, E Center, 4:45 p.m., Finland vs. Q1; 9:30 p.m. USA vs. Russia.
         

  • Speedskating, Utah Olympic Oval, 1 p.m., men's 1,000 m.
         

  • Short-track speedskating, Delta Center (Salt Lake Ice Center), 6 p.m., men's 1,000 meters, women's 500 meters, women's relay.
         
          Getting there:
         

  • Car-pool or use the Mountain Venue Express.
         

  • Park City venues, drive to the park-and-ride lot on U.S.-40, south of its junction with I-80.
         

  • Delta Center/Olympic Medals Plaza, use mass transit or drive to an Olympic park-and-ride lot and ride the free shuttle to downtown.
         

  • E Center, ride TRAX to Meadowbrook (3900 South) and from there take a free Olympic Shuttle. UTA bus routes 31, 34 and 37 also serve the E Center. Or drive to the park-and-walk lot on Decker Lake Drive reserved for the E Center.
         

  • The Peaks, use the park-and-ride lot on University Avenue. From Salt Lake City, take exit 275 in Orem, go east on 800 North to University Avenue (U.S.-189), go south on University and follow signs to the park-and-ride lot.
         

  • Snowbasin, take UTA bus route 55 from Salt Lake City to the South Weber park-and-ride lot at U.S. 89 and I-84; drive to the South Weber or Mountain Green park-and-ride lots and ride the free shuttle.
         

  • Soldier Hollow, drive to the park-and-ride lot on U-189 and 2400 South and ride the free shuttle.
         

  • Utah Olympic Oval, ride TRAX to Murray Central (5300 South) and ride a free shuttle or transfer to UTA bus route 84. UTA route 34 also serves the oval. Or drive to the park-and-walk lot on 4800 West, north of 6200 South.
         

  • The Ice Sheet at Ogden, use UTA bus route 55 to the park-and-walk lot. Drivers can take I-15 north to exit 345. Turn right onto 24th Street and go to Harrison. Turn right, follow signs to the park-and-walk lot.
         
          Travel tips
         

  • Avoid travel on eastbound I-80 in the morning and westbound travel in the afternoon.
         

  • Avoid driving into Park City. Those going into Park City, including day-skiers, should use the U.S.-40 park-and-ride lot.
         

  • In Kearns, access to 4800 West from 5400 South will be closed three hours before events begin at the speedskating oval.
         

  • In Provo, limited restrictions are in effect around The Peaks for Canyon Road, 40 North, 300 North, 150 North and Center Street.
         

  • In West Valley City, 3100 South is either closed or open only to local traffic between I-215 and Redwood Road.
         

  • Snowbasin day skiers should go to ( www.snowbasin.com) for information on accessing the resort.
         

  • In Ogden, Harrison Boulevard, 24th Street, Country Hills Drive and other roads are expected to be congested in the hours before and after events.
