Olympic sound-off question

A Denver Post sports columnist* claimed Tuesday that Salt Lake City has messed up the Olympics and that no one would vacation or ski here unless they had to. What's your reaction to those allegations?

Brad McInroy - Alamo, Calif.
"So far, it's been great in Salt Lake. The people have been great." He said the only downside is that his hotel room, normally $79 a night, costs $450 a day this week.

Reed Wade - Lehi
"I just think he (Woody Paige) doesn't know what he's talking about. He can write anything, but he certainly didn't research this out."

Suneet Kamath - New York City
"I think everything has been great so far. There are certainly other things to do than the Games. We've talked about coming back this summer to do some hiking."

Angie Datta - New York City
"I'm really excited about being in Salt Lake. It really has a lot to offer. We've really appreciated Park City, too."

Ed Michaelchuck - Calgary, Alberta, Canada
"I was involved in the 1988 Games in Calgary. We didn't have to deal with price-gouging for those Games. There's too much gouging here. I know I won't be coming back."

Eileen Rosenau - Bridgeport, Pa.
"It's nice to be in Salt Lake. It's a great city. People have been so welcoming. I love the TRAX. I think just the opposite. Salt Lake's done a great P.R. job."

* Woody Paige, Denver Post sports columnist, made these remarks in his Tuesday, Feb. 12, column titled "Colorado real winner of Games."
