U.S. A. berets in high demand
Karen Scullin
KSL-TV
It's obviously not just a hat when people are standing in a ridiculously long line to get one.
"We don't understand why there's a line at this store, so we thought we'd go see what it is," says Colleen Richardson of California.
And check this out. There's a bouncer for crowd control at this store
The red, white, and blue berets that the U.S. Olympic team wore during Opening Ceremonies are the hottest fashion statement in Utah.
Roots in Park City is where most people are getting them.
But the store seems to sell out of the fleece hats as soon as they come in. In fact, what they expected to sell in a week, they sold in a day. So if it's a "must-have" immediately, you might have to get creative.
"Someone had bootlegged some... were selling them outside. Now they're sold out," someone told us.
And for those who aren't lucky enough to be in the "everyone has one" club, there's plenty of other Roots Olympic gear.
