McMillions of burgers
During the Olympics, McDonald's expects to:
- Serve more than 1 million sandwiches to athletes, coaches, officials, media and spectators.
- Use more than 1.8 million meat patties, 60 tons of potatoes and 10,000 kilograms of lettuce to feed Games spectators.
At the Olympic Village, the company figures to serve:
- 30,000 Big Mac sandwiches.
- 20,000 orders of fries.
- 16,000 hamburgers and cheeseburgers.
- 13,000 double cheeseburgers.
- 11,000 Egg McMuffin breakfast sandwiches.
- 8,000 orders of six-piece Chicken McNuggets.
- 3,300 hash browns.
