Antelope Island facts

Antelope Island State Park: The largest of 10 islands on the Great Salt Lake, Antelope Island is a refuge for a variety of wildlife and is a paradise for outdoor recreationalists. The 28,000-acre island is accessible via boat or a causeway.

What to do: Hiking, biking, horseback riding, bird watching and camping

Camping: Two primitive campgrounds. Bridger Bay is $10 per night and group camping at Whiterock Bay is $25.

Lodging: None available on the island.

Entrance fees: $7 per vehicle (which includes a $2 causeway fee) for 1-day pass, $15 for 5-day pass.

Location: About seven miles west of Layton.

Distance from Salt Lake City: 45 miles
