Shopping in Utah
According to travel experts, shopping is the most popular activity of vacationers. It is also a pretty common pasttime of locals.

For both the locals and tourists, Utah offers a variety of shopping destinations by way of strip malls, conventional malls, retail blocks, downtown shopping districts and factory outlets.
The top shopping places are likely the two malls located in downtown Salt Lake City, Crossroads Plaza and the ZCMI Center, and the recently opened retail mecca west of downtown called The Gateway. Pretty much any national retail chain and specialty shop will be found at one of these locations.
The two downtown malls have more than 230 stores. The Gateway features more than 40 retailers, nine full-scale restaurants and 12 movie screens. The Gateway is also home to the Children's Museum of Utah, Hansen Planetarium and an IMAX theater. The House of Blues is located in the Union Pacific Depot at the development's north end.
Several other busy shopping malls with hundreds of chain stores, specialty shops and restaurants are located throughout Salt Lake, Utah and Weber valleys. Three large factory outlet centers are also located in Utah. Located a short drive from Salt Lake City on the outskirts of Park City is the Factory Stores of Park City. A VF Factory Outlets is located just off I-15 In south Salt Lake Valley in Draper. And on the southern edge of the state is the Zions Factory Stores outlet center in St. George.
For the traditional shopper who likes to walk down a street with that retail atmosphere, pretty much every Main Street in every Utah city has a variety of mom-and-pop shops, as well as many other speciality stores.
