Cleveland-Lloyd Dinosaur Quarry

The Cleveland-Lloyd Quarry, located in eastern Utah about 30 miles south of Price, is one of the world's most significant dinosaur discoveries. Over 17,000 bones and 70 individual animals have been recovered.

Specimens from the quarry are on display in 65 museums around the world. In addition to the bones, the site has yielded one of the earliest known dinosaur eggs, complete with an embryo, and the only known Jurassic dinosaur trackways. Discoveries are still being made since fewer than half the known bone bed deposits have been excavated.
In addition to the actual dig sites, the quarry features a visitors center with a mounted Allosaurus skeleton, mural and other displays. There is also a picnic area and two self-guided nature trails.
The Cleveland-Lloyd Dinosaur Quarry is operated by the Bureau of Land Management and the College of Eastern Utah. The popular Emery County attraction quarry is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on weekends.
