Reader comments: Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back

Didn't think I could be so offended by language in a movie.
I kept thinking, 'what kind of person wouldn't be extremely
offended by this?' Perhaps typified by the guys seated a
few seats down from me. They had their legs straddled on
the seats in front of them, and refused to move them for
anybody. Somehow seemed consistent with the tone of the
movie, as if being offensive is admirable. Jeff's review
DID say it was very crude, and not for everybody. I find
the fact that it didn't offend him alarming.

One of the worst movies I have seen in years. Crude,
sophmoric, but worst of all not at all funny. I kept
waiting for someone to step forward and say or do something
that was funny and did not have profanity, or an oral sex
comment in it. I think writers that try to use stupid,
pointless vulgarity to carry a movie don't really know what
to say or what real comedy is about, so they fill the
screen with trash.
I am sorry to say that I was partially influenced into
seeing this movie by the relatively high rating given by
this papers movie reviewer (that will never happen again!)
Do yourself a favor and save your time and money.
Thanks,
Mike
