Reader comments: The Fast and the Furious

I thought the movie was great, the dialogue was a bit
slathered in cheeze but do you really go to see a movie
like that for poetic monologues? I wish people would stop
putting down Paul Walker too. he's not only hot but he's
a good actor! Those who say he can't act obviously haven't
seen him in movies like She's all that, Joy ride, or the
skulls. great movie, i reccomend it and 2 fast 2 furious.

all i have to say is wow! i've seen this movie like 5
times..........usually you'd get tired of a movie after
that many times........but this one keeps pulling you back
for more, its just so intense and gives u a huge
adrenalin rush. the only thing i didn't like was when they
blew up the green eclipse.......i absolutely loved that
car.......lol

I left the theater and felt like I just left my vehicle
after a 2 hour race. My heart was pumping and I wanted
more! If you like speed, cars, and egos, see this. If you
are going for the girl or the plot, you should probably
stick to the movie web site.

The movie was awesome. It was made for fans of the street
racing scene, so naturally people who arent into that scene
i.e. film critics arent gonna really enjoy it. :-) oh and
its not a hemi that gets wrecked its a charger... thanx ;-)

Ok where do these critics come from half of them just bash
movies. who qualified them to be critics ne way?? i
thought fast and furious rocked and i think these critics
are 45 year old retards that wouldnt know a good movie
if it bit them in the butt

You don't go to a movie like the Fast and the Furious to be
entertained by great acting, wonderful plot, or thoughtful
dialogue anymore than you watch Baywatch for the same
things. People watched Baywatch because of the beautiful,
bikini clad and buff and bronze speedo clad actors. It was
eye candy. So is the fast and the furious. It's bay watch
with cars. Pure pleasure.

The movie was not made to be nominated for Oscar here
fellas. It was made for the import race scene and whoever
likes that hobby, sport, or whatever you want to call it. I
love drag racing and have an import so seeing the movie 4
times already, isn't enough for me. Someone who is into
planes would have a different opinion. But, there is a
fact, in that it's made lots of money so it cannot be as
bad as people say, cause that is obviously a wrong opinion.

I didn't see the movie. I didn't need to, the previews
showed me all I needed to know about the plot. The
Hemicuda gets wrecked. This was a tragedy. No Honda, Toyota
or Mitsubishi can compare to the muscle of the '70s. Makes
me sad to see a great car come to a sad end.
AZNBOI | Jul. 2, 2001
I have seen this movie 3 times and i really enjoyed
watching it. Basically why people seem to hate this movie
is that they don't really enjoy watching import cars drag
racing. I guess the movie should've been longer and more
detailed at the end..overall awsome movie!

Okay, who in the hell would try to hijack a truck with
James Bond equipment? Didn't any of these dips
see "Goodfellows", You just stick a gun out the window and
tell the driver, "pull over, get out".
Sense when has the FBI and the LAPD set up a task forse
over 3 truck hijacking? 5 or 6, maybe more truck loads end
up missing from the docks at Long Beach every day. In this
dog the cops and FBI are going to set up a major task
force, because 2 million the hijackers have stolen 2
million in merchendise? Get real, that's page A17 news.
Even more a amazing, a Chinese guy gets a machine pistol
with a 30 round clip to fire more than 100 rounds without
reloading.
This move didn't make a lick of sense, but did seem to
appeal to the mass of 14 year olds in the threater, which
must have been the age or education level of the writer.

I think that "The Fast and The Furious" was the best movie
I've ever seen. I know that the movie didn't have a good
plot and the ending didn't really make any sense, but when
you go to see a movie about racing cars you shouldn't
expect it to have a good plot. How can you make a good
plot with the star falling in love with the girl and them
living happily ever after when you are trying to focus on
cars? I appreciate what the movie was for, cars! I loved
the cars and the racing, and I think that Paul Walker was
perfect for the role, not to mention he was hot! The movie
had every thing you could ask for:
suspension, cars, motorcycles, hot guys, girls, love,
death, hate, crime, everything! I left that movie with my
jaw open, I was so happy I couldn't stop smiling. I never
sat back in my chair once. It was the best $5 I've ever
spent.

How could yall say that about this movie.Hello your a
critic read your reviews. It made more money then it cost
to make the first weekend it was out. I've seen it twice
and going to see it again. This movie was actioned packed
and it kept you on yours toes the whole way through. I give
this movie a max rating cause it was the first movie that
ever really appealed to the second generation.

I think this movie was Great!!! The whole time you got to
see all those cool cars! The ending was really good with
the train, you don't expect what happened. There was
friendship and love, it was just about a perfect movie (in
my opinion)!!!!

I think The Fast and The Furious was exactly what it was
supposed to be.It was geared for teens! How many movies
geared for teens have incredible plot lines and dialogue??
You get what you are looking for when you see this
movie...Fast cars and hot actors! The action scene with Matt
Schulze (Vince) where he jumps from the car to the semi, is
very cool. He's hot!!! If you like teen movies with fast
cars...go see it.
BLAKE GRICE | Jun. 25, 2001
This was one of the worst movies I have ever seen. I am a
movie fanatic and to be honest with you I like MOST
movies. However, this one was the worst I have seen in a
long time. The plot was terrible...."Brian" is a TERRIBLE
actor. It doesn't even show him race at race wars! Man
this movie stunk! Vin Deisel was OK....the girls were good
looking. Other than that, please do not waste your time
and money.
HERBERT T. KORNFELDER | Jun. 23, 2001
I can at least say this film delivered some exciting car
stunt scenes, unlike last year's "Gone in 60...". However,
a razor thin plot and laughable script make for some boring
interludes of dialogue between car scenes (Yippee!). My
advice, wait for the video. -- When will
hollywood make a film that utilizes good film, making
techniques, i.e. a plot, character development, a script
which doesn't scream CHEESE!, AND still delivers "better
than Bruckheimer action"?
