I have not seen the movie, but my husband was one of the
men in the 1-9. I think that what they went through
deserves to be done with honor in a movie. I will rent the
movie and write back

Exploitation of dead men, with a fictious story of stranded
Black Marines is not nice to Blacks and MARINES of the
First Bn, 9th MARINES. The director a Black Vietnam Veteran
MARINE knew better. He could of made a true classic if he
told the truth.

Concerning the film 'The Walking Dead' and its title, I am disgusted with both. It shows no common courtesy or respect for Marines that served and died in Vietnam, especially the true Walking Dead Marines. Which was then and now the First Battalion Ninth Marine Regiment, better know as 'The Walking Dead'. No other unit's that served in Vietnam showed more heroic's and suffered greater lose of life, than 1/9. If you anyone would like to review 1/9, he or she can read the book 'Marines Fighti
