This movie is one of the best movies I have ever seen. The acting by Richard Gere and Bai Ling was superb. I was very moved by the story and the main characters portrayed. I would recommend this movie to anyone. Excellent, Excellent Movie!!!

It paints itself into a corner. The idea of attacking China's communist rulership is certainly admirable, but the way it's told is supremely silly, right down to how Gere's translation equipment sometimes goes offline. It's amazing that the movie has been broadcast on the week that the Chinese president's been visiting here. Good idea? Not really.
