Reader comments: Reality Bites

This movie was reintroduced to me by a very special girl.
It is her favorite movie and I watch it everytime I feel
lonely and miss her. Which is a lot. Each and everytime I
watch it, I notice how everything fits together really
well. Winona is sweet. Ethan represents a true human
being. Garafolo is an essential supporting character.
Very interesting.

If sitting around for an hour and half listening to angst-
ridden teenagers gripe about their pitiful, aimless lives
sounds fun, then this movie is for you! I feel about this
movie the way I feel about abstract non-objective 'art'...
if it ain't got a point, it's pointless! This film is
nearly as boring as baseball. Bleah. Ugh. Ick. The
script is totally lacking in sense AND sensibility. I
would rather spend a week on the med/surg floor of the
local hospital!

I enjoyed the Reality of this film and thought Wynona Ryder
was very good in it. If you're looking for a thoughtful
film for the teen-aged audience, this is highly
recommended.
