I worked with someone who raved about this movie, so I
rented it, six years after it came out. I had never heard
of it before then. I agree with everyone who has written
here - it is the funniest, laugh-every-minute movie just
full of classic lines and scenes that are so hilarious!

Major Pain is one of the funniest movies I have ever seen.
The man who wrote that review, Chris Hicks, is completely
insane or has no sense of humor what so ever. There is only
one movie better than this and that is The Sandlot. But
even that is a close call. Major Pain probably isnt a good
movie according to him because he is in his 50's or so, and
the humor of this would appeal to a yonger audience.
Everyone I have ever talked to about that movie has found
it hilarious and, surprise surprise, they were all young..
not in their 50's. So really what I'm saying is that if you
werent so negative and old, maybe you'd like this movie.
But you may as well stick to Rocky, Jaws, and Star Wars.
You probably gave those movies 2 thumbs up didn't you?

Admittedly Major Payne might not be suited to the younger
audience, however it DEFINATELY remains one of the funniet
movies I've seen! It's not often you can watch a comedy
over and over again and enjoy it as much as you did the
first time! In summary, it's a great funny movie tho
again, it might offend the younger audience. PS - Karyn
Parsons is absolutely stunning in her role!

I'm sorry, but I hated it. I love Damon Wayans and
everything but it was not my cup of tea. i was an extra in
the movie so I liked it more than I would have ordinarily
because I had fun recognizing people. Sorry.

Mr. Hicks,
I was honestly affended by the way you chopped and
hacked away at Major Payne. This movie is one that myself
and many other friends, who just happened to be very well
respected and even influencial members of the community in
which we live, have watched and loved over and over again.
This is a story about a man who finds there is more to
life than war(a little bit)and who helps a group of "going
nowhere" boys learn about the importance of hard work,
striving together for a goal as a team. Payne teaches them
they cannot steal the trophy, they must earn it. How many
movies these days even touch on the point of good values
and earning what you get instead of taking it.
I love this movie. The humor in it is basic and simple
and that is what makes it funny. Many people I know, walk
around from time to time in their everyday jobs and at home
repeating various phrases from this movie that make all
others around laugh. How can this movie be so bad when it
gains popularity all the time and continues to make people
laugh. This movie is a classic as far as I'm concerned,
and should be in everyone's library.

i thought the movie was great. being from (and leading) an
army jrotc unit, i was glad to see hollywood taking a more
relaxed tone to jrotc system!

I thought Major Payne was the best movie I have ever seen
and I would recommend it to anyone. If people weren't so
concerned with looking intellegient they might actually
enjoy a movie that indulges the viewer in the guilty
pleasure of laughing at things that may be off color, but
nevertheless outrageously funny.

This movie was the best movie I ever saw when I first saw
it. It is a awsome movie and extremly funny!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I won't say any swear words since it's " Strictly
prohibited", but GOD!!! Just because you don't know the
difference between a good movie and a bad movie doesn't
mean you have to pick Major Payne to rip on. It was a very
good movie. You have to have a good sense of humor to
figure it out. So, obviously........., I believe the movie
was great and you guys have no idea what you're talking
about. So yah, that's my review. Thanks for listening.

If killing is your business, and i would hope that it is,
then Major Payne is the movie for you. Stuffed full of fart
gags, mother jokes and more outrageous comments from the US
army's favourite registered killing machine this is a non
stop rollercoaster of hillarity.
I defy you not to laugh out loud when Wayans
screams 'change my name to pimp daddy Payne.'
You see this is comedy on a higher level matched only by
the magnificent timing and witty genius displayed by
Stephen Lewis of 'On the Buses' fame. Killing is my
business and business is GOOD!

I think Major Payne is THE FUNNIEST MOVIE I EVER SAW! One
of my many favorite parts is when he first meets the Cadets
and he says, "Killin' is my business, LADIES, and business
is GOOOOOOD!" That part is soooo great!! :o)~
ROBERT MCELWAIN | Jun. 8, 1999
I think this is the most funnyest movie in the world. I
watch MAJOR PAYNE all day long, I have lost count of all
the times I have seen it. The best part of the movie is
when PAYNE tells the story about the little Engine that
could.
DAWN | Apr. 10, 1999
This movie is the best. I watch it every single day you
know why...because it's a good motivation factor for me
since I am coming from a JROTC unit and going into the Army
in 3 months. I love it. I wish I had Major Payne as my DI
in my JROTC unit..mine are too lineinet to us cadets. Just
because Payne makes fun of a blind/deaf kid doesnt mean
anything...it's a movie you critcal fool. All you critics
can take your bad thoughts about this movie and shove them.
Its obviously you weren't in a JROTC unit so you don't know
crap about anything. Payne is the bomb!!!!!
..."Can't you see I'm eatin terd"...lol I love that part.
Major Payne fans right me
CALE GREEN | Apr. 6, 1999
Major Payne is a prime example of good fun...it just shows
a funny side to the world of military special operations
and is also just plain funny to watch. It is just a
parody... I will never realize why you critics read so much
into a movie that was not ment to be accesed in that manner.
GEE, I GUESS WE NORMAL PEOPLE WHO LAUGH ARE JUST NOT UP TO
YOUR LEVEL OF THINKING!!!
