Buttermilk Waffles

Ingredients

1 3/4 cups flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 cups buttermilk
1/3 cup salad oil
2 eggs


Directions

In a large bowl, whisk flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt. Add buttermilk, oil and eggs to flour mixture and beat until thoroughly blended. Using a measuring cup, dip batter onto center of lower half of hot waffle iron, until it spreads to about 1 inch from edges. Lower cover and bake until steaming stops. (Do not lift cover during baking.) Open cover and loosen waffle carefully with fork. Makes about 5 waffles.
