Blueberry Slump

Ingredients

5 cups blueberries
1 1/2 cups sugar
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
1 cup cold water
1 1/2 cups flour
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
3/4 cup milk


Directions

Put blueberries, sugar, cinnamon and nutmeg in a 2-quart saucepan. Add 1 cup cold water. Cover and cook over low heat, stirring occasionally, until the blueberries are soft, about 15 minutes.

Mix flour, salt and baking powder. Add milk; stirring until well-blended.

Pour the flour mixture over the blueberries. Cover the saucepan tightly. Cook 15 minutes over very low heat. Do not stir. Serve with a dish of heavy cream. Makes 4 servings.

Each serving contains 551 calories; 2 gm fat; 296 mg sodium; 3 mg cholesterol.
