Cream Cheese Apple Torte

Ingredients

9 Rhodes dinner rolls or 6 Rhodes Texas rolls, thawed and soft
8 ounces cream cheese
1/4 cup sugar
1 egg
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 20-ounce can sliced apples
1/4 cup sugar
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1/4 cup sliced almonds


Directions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Knead rolls into one ball. Roll dough into a 14-inch circle and place on greased pizza pan.

Mix cream cheese, 1/4 cup sugar, egg and vanilla together. Spread on dough. Combine drained apples, 1/4 cup sugar and cinnamon. Place on top of cheese mixture. Sprinkle with almonds. Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown. Cut in wedges and serve. Serves 8.
