Fu-Silly Chili Skillet

Ingredients

8 ounces (4 cups) uncooked dried fusilli pasta (multicolored or plain)
1 pound Italian turkey sausage or lean ground beef
1 (16-ounce) can chili beans
1 (14 1/2-ounce) can Mexican-style stewed tomatoes
3/4 cup sour cream, regular, light or no-fat

Prep time: 12 minutes
Yield: 8 servings


Directions

Cook pasta according to package directions. Rinse with hot water; drain. Meanwhile, in deep 12-inch skillet, cook sausage over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until no longer pink, 10-12 minutes.

Drain off fat. Add chili beans, tomatoes and pasta; continue cooking until heated through, 2 to 3 minutes. Add chili powder or hot sauce, if desired. Stir in sour cream; continue cooking until heated through. If desired, sour cream can be dolloped on Fu-Silly Chili rather than stirred in.

Nutritional analysis: Each serving (no-fat sour cream) contains 455 calories, 22 g protein, 19 g fat, 70 mg cholesterol and 1220 mg sodium.
