Decadent Vanilla Cream Syrup

Ingredients

1 cup cream
1/2 cup sugar
1 tablespoon flour
4 egg yolks
1 tablespoon vanilla
1 cup vanilla ice cream


Directions

Bring cream and sugar to a boil over medium-high heat. In a small bowl, mix together flour, egg yolks and vanilla. Add a few spoonfuls of the boiling cream mixture, and then add the egg yolk mixture to the cream mixture, stirring constantly for 3 minutes. Add vanilla ice cream and continue to cook another 3 minutes, stirring constantly until thickened. Serve warm. Store in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks. Makes 2 cups.
