Market Street restaurants are running a Fresh, Wild Alaska Halibut Festival this month at all the restaurant's locations. Diners can enjoy various selections including Halibut Oscar, Seafood Florentine, Halibut Caesar and Halibut Louie.
Chick-fil-A recently added new options to its Kid's Meals, which include plain and chocolate milk chugs, apple juice and the company's Chick-n-Strips.
The Gluten Intolerance Group of Utah is offering a blood test for celiac disease on May 19, 8:30 a.m.-noon, at Wheeler Farm, 6351 S. 900 East. The test is free to the first 500 registrants. Pre-registration, which is $18 or $16 for those who sign up to volunteer, must be done by April 30 through www.gfutah.org.
There will also be an awareness walk, "Walking Feet Without Wheat," and a breakfast of waffles, breads and pancakes made from gluten-free grains, yogurt, fruit, juices and meat. Major sponsors are Wild Oats Marketplace, Against the Grain, Blue Chip Group, Celiac Specialties, Pamela's Products and St. Mark's Hospital. There will also be gluten-free food booths.
TCBY has just launched a new test concept store called Yovana Yogurt Cafe at the Salt Lake City International Airport. The premium yogurt is made fresh in the store every day, using live active cultures (www.yovana-yogurt.com).
