Obituary: Daniel Jacobs

Daniel (Glenn) Jacobs 1927 ~ 2005 Daniel (Glenn) Jacobs passed away peacefully on January 27, 2005 in Bountiful, Utah. Glenn was born on August 28, 1927 to Raymond Jacobs and Rhea Boyce in Bell, California. On April 29, 1948, Glenn married his high school sweetheart from Granite High, Norma Jensen in the Salt Lake City Temple. Glenn had two great loves - his family and outdoor recreation. As a member of the LDS Church he served in many positions. His favorite was scouting. Glenn retired from American Oil after 38 years of service. Glenn is survived by his wife of 56 years; children: Steven (Kathy); Gail Holtry (Don); Alan (Linda); 17 grandchildren; and 24 great-grandchildren. Glenn was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and one great-granddaughter. Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 31, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. at the Bountiful North Canyon 3rd Ward Chapel, 2505 South Davis Blvd., Bountiful. Friends may call Sunday evening from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at the Russon Brothers Bountiful Mortuary, 295 North Main and Monday morning from 9:45 - 10:45 a.m. at the church prior to services.
