Quorum of the Twelve
Once Latter-day Saints are truly converted, they have a responsibility to strengthen, encourage and nurture others who are just beginning to grow in faith or who may be faltering along the way.
The Savior admonished his early-day apostles to "feed my lambs," to "feed my sheep," which also applies to present-day members of the church.
Conversion requires consecrating one's life to "caring and serving others who need our help and to sharing our gifts and talents."
The Lord didn't say, "tend my sheep when it is convenient. Watch my sheep when you aren't busy. He said, feed my sheep and my lambs. Help them survive this world, keep them close to you and lead them to safety the safety of righteous choices that will prepare them for eternal life."
After baptism, each individual must learn to keep the commandments and follow a path that will help them take advantage of important priesthood, temple and other blessings. Everyone needs the encouragement and support of those strong in the faith.
In following the Savior "we commit ourselves to serve him by serving our fellow man."
