Quorum of the Twelve
Although our journeys today are less demanding physically than those taken by the pioneers of 150 years ago, they are no less challenging.
"Our faith can help us be equally bold and fearless during the course of our respective journeys . . . we can take comfort in knowing that others before us have borne life's most grievous trials and tragedies by looking to heaven for peace, comfort and hopeful assurance.
"We can know as they knew that God is our Eternal Father, that he cares about us individually and collectively, and that as long as we continue to exercise our faith and trust in him there is nothing to fear in the journey."
We're all bound together 19th and 20th century pioneers and more in a great journey to follow the Lord Jesus Christ and allow his atoning sacrifice to work its miracle in our lives.
While we can appreciate the footsteps of faith walked by pioneers, we should ever stand in reverential awe as we contemplate the path trod only by the Master.
"Our faith in the Lord Jesus Christ is the source of spiritual power that will give you and me the assurance that we have nothing to fear from the journey."
