Quorum of the Twelve
Latter-day Saints "come together seeking companionship" and find it in a variety of ways that bless their lives.
Family members "help to shape our destiny" with eternal marriage "one of the greatest blessings God has granted to his children." Christlike friends "deeply touch and change our lives" as prayers are answered "through simple, daily service."
As directed by the Lord, missionaries as well as home teachers and visiting teachers go in pairs. "In bearing testimony and establishing truth, 'two are better than one.' "
In a personal sense, the companionship of the Holy Ghost is a fulfillment of the Lord's "promise to be with us always and not leave us comfortless."
In order to enjoy good companions, each member must also "be an exemplary companion" and avoid "falling in with bad company . . . . Our friends should be companions who inspire us, who help us rise to our best.
"May each of you be one who touches the lives of others for good."
