Quorum of the Twelve
Few things in life bring the joy that comes from helping others improve their lives.
"Every member a missionary" is a "lifelong responsibility" for each member, and "is to be addressed differently according to the varying seasons of your life."
When life circumstances preclude full-time missionary service, providing love and support to new converts in making the social transition into the church is invaluable.
Several methods of sharing the gospel are available. Parents who instill a desire in their children to serve as missionaries are themselves doing missionary work. Temple work is nothing less than missionary work for the dead.
Formal missionary service includes part-time "calls for four to 30 hours a week while living at home" serving in a temple, doing family history work, or accepting welfare, education and public affairs assignments.
There is a great need for missionary couples, who help train auxiliary and priesthood leaders, in additional to performing other kinds of service. "Don't wait to be asked."
