Boozer and the Batman

Random observations from the day after the Jazz came back from the dead....
Thursday night's win over the Spurs was a nice thing for the Jazz, but certainly not all-encompassing. Remember, the Jazz haven't won in San Antonio in 10 years...The Jazz are finally going to the basket. Previously, this year, they settled for jumpers on the outside, instead of forcing the issue inside. They outscored San Antonio 64-46 in the paint...The Carlos Boozer bandwagon is alive and well. Despite getting audibly booed after missing his first shot, when the attempts finally began to fall against the Spurs, one fan was heard to shout, "Booz is back!" How quickly they forget...The biggest eye-opener with Boozer wasn't that he finally got untracked with his shooting. Rather, it was that he played defense well enough to tie Tim Duncan up for jump balls twice...Guess you saw the video of Spurs guard Manu Ginobili swatting a bat out of the air in San Antonio on Halloween night. Youtube.com Interesting thing is it wasn't his best swat of the week. That came when he slapped the ball into the basket for a tip-in at the end of the first quarter against the Jazz on Thursday...What I want to know is whether the usher he handed the bat to got rabies shots like Ginobili did...A Spurs official said the Youtube video of the bat-attack generated 5 million hits.
