Following its first loss in ages, Real Salt Lake returns home to face Chivas USA on Saturday night at 8 p.m. for its annual Pioneer Day game. A post game fireworks show will begin approximately 10 minutes after the match. As of Thursday night a team spokesperson said only 800 tickets remained.
Here are a few thoughts from coach Jason Kreis and a few players about the match:
"We're good to go," said Kyle Beckerman about the prospects of him playing.
"We're looking forward to getting back home after being away for two weekends in a row. Obviously this past weekend having some disappointment with the result it's very nice to be home in front of our home crowd which should be a good one with Pioneer Day," said Kreis.
"Sometimes (losing) helps you refocus more as opposed to coming off a bunch of wins. It's not easy to stay on top of yourselves and really look to improve, and this week we have to do that," said defender Chris Wingert.
"I'm probably more excited to play after coming off a loss. A competitive team like we are we want to get back out there right away," said midfielder Ned Grabavoy.

In addition to the fireworks, Real Salt Lake will also honor Nick Rimando prior to the match for his recent 100th career victory. After the match, the club will honor its four MLS All-Stars, Rimando, Kyle Beckerman, Javier Morales and Jamison Olave.
