Back on the bubble

Funny thing, this bracket business.

When Utah State woke up Saturday morning virtually every bracket prediction in the world had the Aggies dancing in the NCAA Tournament -- win or lose Saturday night.

Well, the Aggies lost Saturday night and now, all those experts who had USU safely locked into the field of 65 have the Aggies right back on the bubble.

In a practice every weather forecaster could only dream about employing, the national bracketoligists will likely change their minds a few more times before the official brackets come out and they get to say "See, we were almost exactly right!"

I'm on the road driving back to Utah -- losing an hour to the time zone and another to Daylight Savings - and hope to be home in time for the official announcements. So don't expect any updates here until then.

Until then, here's a quick look at what the world has to say right now.

CBSsports.com and Jerry Palm has USU in as an 11 seed in New Orleas playing Richmond.

ESPN and Joe Lunardi believe Utah State is in as an 11 seed vs. Texas A&M in New Orleans. Odd, because Lunardi had USU as a 12 before the loss on Saturday.

Andy Glockner at SportsIllustrated.com sees the Aggies in as a 11 seed vs. Michigan State in Spokane. Cue the Jud Heathcote storyline with Stew Morrill and Tom Izzo talking about their old mentor.

And here's the latest from FoxSports.com.
