A couple of weeks ago a long, athletic basketball player named Carrick Felix paid a visit to Utah State on an unofficial recruiting trip.

The star player at the College of Southern Idaho said the Aggies were one of a few programs he was considering playing for next season. Well, USU can look in another direction after Felix made an official visit to Duke and returned to Twin Falls with a scholarship offer to play for Blue Devils coach Mike Krzyzewksi -- the first junior college player ever recruited by Coach K.

"I had a bunch of coaches just calling me all at once," Felix told the Twin Falls Times-News. "It was putting so much stress on me, them telling me, 'You should do this, you should play like this, we need you to do this.' Just hearing it from a lot of people, it just got into my head and made me lose focus for a little bit."

His decision ended a recruiting process that had dozens of schools hoping to acquire his services.

"It's an incredible compliment to Carrick and his family," CSI head coach Steve Gosar said. "We know Duke doesn't recruit bad kids and Carrick's as good as they come."
