Dian Thomas

Dian Thomas is a columnist with Deseret News, where she writes for the Family Life section. She is the author of 19 books including "Roughing it Easy," which was a New York Times best-seller. Her appearance on the NBC’s Tonight Show with Johnny Carson propelled her into the national media scene, where she became a regular on NBC’s Today Show for eight years.

Dian was raised in the Manti-La Sal National Forest in southeastern Utah, where her father was the forest ranger. She holds a master's degree from Brigham Young University. She has traveled worldwide and is now a tour leader specializing in trips to China, Vietnam and Thailand.
