In two venues where Utahns normally cheer on local professional teams, supporters came to watch their country's soccer squad in action on Thursday. EnergySolutions Arena and Rio Tinto Stadium opened their doors for fans of the U.S. Men's National Team to watch the nation's side play against Germany in the FIFA World Cup. Fans poured into the homes of the Jazz and Real Salt Lake. The U.S. lost 1-0 but advanced to the round of 16 on goal differential as Portugal beat Ghana 2-1.
