BYU men’s track and field travels to Palo Alto, Calif., this weekend to compete in the Stanford Invitational.

"This is obviously a big meet for us, especially for our mid-distance and distance athletes," head coach Ed Eyestone said. "We hope to get six or seven regional qualifiers on the men's side, so there is potential for us to really have a good weekend."

Jared Ward is looking to post one of the fastest times in the country in the 10,000 meters. Curtis Carr and Tylor Thatcher will lead the Cougars in the 5,000 meters. Steve Flint, Aaron Fletcher and James Tracy all look to improve their times in the 3,000 meter steeplechase.

The distance events take place Friday, beginning with the 3,000 meter steeplechase at 5:45 p.m. PDT. The BYU sprinters and hurdlers compete Saturday afternoon. A full meet schedule can be found on Stanford's websit. Visit the event page on BYU's athletic website for live results.
