WOODS CROSS — A pilot was uninjured Sunday when he was forced to crash-land his plane in a field after losing power, Wood's Cross police officer Chris Hoffman said.
Hoffman said a Woods Cross officer was nearby and saw the plane go down about 2 p.m. near 500 South and Redwood Road.
The officer responded to the scene, where the plane had flipped upside-down upon landing. The pilot, who was flying alone, was able to exit the plane by himself and declined medical treatment, Hoffman said.
The Federal Aviation Administration has taken over investigation of the incident.
