Interfaith Month schedule of events

Salt Lake’s Interfaith Roundtable, an organization dedicated to promoting understanding and harmony among all faiths and cultures, is celebrating Interfaith Month. A variety of free public events will be offered throughout February and into March.

Saturday, Feb. 1

9 a.m. - 5 p.m. — Buddhist Temple Film Festival (Salt Lake Buddhist Temple, 211 W. 100 South)

Sunday, Feb. 2

10 a.m. - noon — “Spotlight on the Community: In the Shadow of the Holocaust,” participatory workshop (Congregation Kol Ami, 2425 Heritage Way)

Tuesday, Feb. 4

7 p.m. — Musical presentation and discussion on the history of the Greek Orthodox Church in Utah (Holy Trinity Cathedral, 279 S. 300 West)

Wednesday, Feb. 5

6 p.m. — Children’s choir, reception and lecture (Family Federation for World Pease and Unification, 1969 View St.)

Saturday, Feb. 8

9 a.m. - 1 p.m. — Human Rights Education Center of Utah interactive workshop (St. Mark’s Cathedral, 231 E. 100 South)

8:15 a.m. - 2:15 p.m. — Power of Prevention Conference (Utah Cultural Celebration Center, 1355 W. 3100 South, West Valley City)

6:30 p.m. — “Peace, Justice and Climate Change,” youth event (Newman Center, 170 University St.)

Tuesday, Feb. 11

Wednesday, Feb. 12

8:45 a.m. — Indian Nation interfaith blessing ceremony (State Capitol Rotunda, 350 N. State)

11:30 a.m. — The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Bishops’ Storehouse guided tour (The Bishops’ Central Storehouse, 5405 W. 300 South)

Thursday, Feb. 13

7 p.m. — “Unconditional Love: Giving and Receiving Blessings” (Salt Lake City Krishna Temple, 965 E. 3370 South)

Saturday, Feb. 15

2 p.m. — “We Love Our Youth,” tour of the young men’s transition home (Volunteers of America Young Men’s Transitional Housing, 556 S. 500 East)
