West Valley City – Utah Grizzlies head coach and General Manager Tim Branham announced Monday that the team has signed Utah native D.J. Jelitto.
“DJ is a big body with an offensive upside,” Branham said. “He is a great addition to our team and will add depth to our lineup.”
Jelitto, from West Valley City, played for the Grizzlies to start his professional career from 2005-2007, before playing two seasons in the Central Hockey League and the last four years in Germany. He has totaled 133 goals and 141 goals for 274 points in 416 games.
The 6-foot-3 forward had 15 goals and 14 assists for 29 points in 70 games with Utah in 2006-2007, and totaled seven goals and six assists for 13 points in 48 games during his rookie season in 2005-2006.
The Grizzlies are off until Friday and Saturday when they kick off November in Stockton. Faceoffs both nights are at 8:30 p.m.
