LOGAN — A man and his bicycle were pinned under a car Wednesday night after a collision on Logan's Main Street.
The 24-year-old man was riding his bike near 2350 N. Main when he was hit by a car coming out of a driveway about 8:10 p.m., said North Park Police Sgt. John Italasano. Specific details about how the accident occurred weren't available Monday night.
Emergency crews stabilized the car and used large airbags to lift the vehicle up off the man so that paramedics could safely extract him, Italasano said. He was transported to an area hospital.
No details were available about the man's injuries. There were reportedly some lights on the man's bike but he was wearing dark clothing, Italasano said.
Police temporarily diverted northbound traffic while crews worked.
