SALT LAKE CITY — The BYU men’s tennis team wrapped up competition, taking the doubles title against Utah at the Utah Intercollegiates on Saturday.
Junior Francis Sargeant and sophomore Andrey Goryachkov defeated Utah’s Slim Hamza and Devin Lane, 8-6.
Following the doubles title match, Sargeant faced Utah’s Hamza for the singles title. He lost 6-4, 6-4.
The Cougars are in action at the end of the month when they head to California for the 57th Southern California Intercollegiate Championships on Oct. 30-Nov. 2.
