MURRAY — Police said Tuesday they do not suspect foul play in the death of a 23-year-old man whose body was found in Big Cottonwood Creek.
On Monday, the body of Seth Wyatt Brown was pulled from the river. Brown was homeless and was believed to have been living along the river, upstream from where he was found, said Murray police officer Jeff Maglish.
The Utah State Medical Examiner's Office determined drowning to be the cause of death, he said. But they were waiting for toxicology test results to determine if drugs were also a factor.
Utah court records show Brown had been arrested and charged numerous times in various justice courts over the past year for intoxication and theft of services for using Utah Transit Authority services without paying.
