Layton museum looks at city’s history through artifacts, photographs

LAYTON — Layton's Heritage Museum features artifacts, documents and photographs that trace the historical development of the area.

Its permanent exhibit, “Layton Old Town,” features the history of Layton and the surrounding communities from 1850 to the present.

Native American artifacts tell the story of the area's first residents.

The museum is just west of Layton High School in the Commons Park at 403 N. Wasatch Drive. The museum is open Tuesday through Friday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., and on Saturday from 1 to 5 p.m. Admission is free. For more information call 801-336-3930.
