Local trivia master Michael Smith attempted to defend his "Stump the Schwab" championship title on 1320 KFAN's Gunther and Graham show Thursday but ultimately fell to his opponent.

Gunther and Graham hosted a mock trivia showdown between Smith and a challenger named Tyson. Smith led early in the individual rounds but missed his opportunity to answer questions in the speed round. Amid constant joking from Gunther and Graham, Tyson beat Smith in sudden-death overtime.

The final question, to name three of the four NFL teams who have never played in a Super Bowl, was answered correctly by Tyson when he said, "The Lions, the Texans and the Browns."

"It's a little tough right now, like he was saying; I'm on all fours dry-heaving," Smith said after losing to his challenger. "But I'll accept it, accept defeat."
