'After Earth': 3 points for parents

Violence: In "After Earth," liens kill humans, stabbing them with their sharp limbs. Aliens place humans in trees by impaling them. Multiple animals attack a human while he is searching for part of his ship. There is a hand-to-hand fight between an alien and a human.

Danger: Aliens can smell fear and follow it to kill humans. An asteroid storm hits a spaceship. Kitai (Jaden Smith) must survive an extremely harsh planet while overcoming his phobia of aliens.

Scary images: Memories of a sister being killed by an alien. Dead baboons piled up with limbs removed. Humans used as bait in trees. Human bodies strewn about crashed ship.
