SALT LAKE CITY — The Sorenson Unity Center will host its fifth annual CommUNITY Fair Thursday, May 30 from 4-8 p.m. This year’s fair celebrates the fifth anniversary of the opening of the center in May of 2008.
The event is free and open to the public at the center, 1383 S. 900 West. Exhibitors at this year’s fair include HawkWatch, the Leonardo, University Neighborhood Partners, Alliance Community Services, Planned Parenthood Association of Utah, Salt Lake Community College Writing Center, and more.
The fair will feature free health screenings provided by the Utah Department of Health’s Office of Health Disparities. Free live music and entertainment will be offered by Music Garage, Starlite Dance, Westside Dance Institute, Malialole and Mundi Project.
There will be free kids’ games and activities, including Salt Lake City Police Department’s Bike Rodeo, bounce house and slide, sumo suits, balloon animals, face painting. Also, food vendors Tacos Roxy and The Tiffin Bus will be available.
