PROVO, Utah — The No. 23 BYU men’s track and field team heads to Ogden, Utah, on Wednesday afternoon to compete at the Weber State Twilight Meet at Stewart Stadium.

The one-day meet will give several Cougars a last chance to qualify for year-end championship meets. It will also help BYU coaches decide who to take to the Georgia Tech Invitational and IC4A Championships, two of the biggest meets of the year.

“We’re sending guys to Weber who we want to get one more chance to prove themselves before the IC4A Championships and the regional meet,” head coach Mark Robison said. “We hope we’ll have some good weather and hopefully get some good performances.”

BYU had a good showing at its home meet last weekend, but slid a few spots in the national rankings from No. 17 to No. 23. The Cougars have several athletes who are currently qualified for the regional preliminaries and hope to qualify more at Weber State this week.

The Weber State Twilight Meet starts at 2 p.m. MDT with the men’s discus throw.
